Feature · Document archive & email import
Find the document behind the entry.
Collect invoices from uploads and email in one place. Documents stay linked to their entries so you can open the original when a question comes up.
What it does
Keep your documents together
Upload documents, organise them in folders and find them through search. Preview a document before downloading it or continuing with accounting.
Import attachments from your inbox
Connect a supported IMAP mailbox. Choose the mailbox folder, destination folder and import start date. Review attachments before importing or set scheduled retrieval times.
Open the original from an entry
Documents and accounting entries stay linked. When a question comes up, inspect the entry and open its original invoice without searching for the file again.
Organise larger document batches
Move several documents together or download them in bulk. Documents eligible for deletion can be restored from the trash.
Small tools that make everyday work easier
For the steps you repeat throughout the working day.
- One search across several areas
- Use Ctrl K or Cmd K to find documents, entries, accounts and open items without opening each area first.
- Treat the inbox as a work queue
- Ignore messages, mark them as resolved or reopen them. Keep track of the attachments you still want to process.
Typical scenarios
Businesses and freelancers
A supplier invoice arrives by email. Import the attachment and process it alongside your other documents.
Working together
One person uploads documents while another reviews and posts them. Appropriate roles control who can perform each step.
Questions and follow-up
You need more context for an entry. Open the linked source document directly from your accounting.

You can review messages and attachments first. Ignore messages, mark them as resolved or reopen them when needed.
Does every plan include permanent document storage?
Accounting plans include permanent storage. Pay-as-you-go requires an active storage add-on. See the plan comparison for allowances and email import availability.
