Feature · Backoffice cash
Bring closed cash days into accounting through a controlled workflow.
Transfer daily closings from an external TSE register, an open cash box, or petty cash, verify the expected and physical balances plus the original evidence, and create the posting only after approval. Accuno remains an accounting backoffice.
What it does
Clear product boundary
No live individual sales, cart, payment completion, receipt issuance, or TSE control in accuno.
Assign cash sources cleanly
Name every external cash source per tenant and assign it to an existing cash account. No register or TSE credentials are stored for this purpose.
Transfer a cash day with original evidence
Transfer daily totals only after the external close and attach the related Z report, cash report, or other original evidence. Supported structured files are read deterministically and without AI.
Verify the cash equation before posting
Expected balance, physical balance, cash difference, original-file hash, and posting preview are displayed and checked together before binding approval.
Post and correct through controlled paths
Only reviewed daily closings are posted to the journal. Posted facts are never overwritten; necessary corrections use a traceable cancellation and a new revision.
Typical scenarios
Businesses with an external register
Transfer the closed cash day and its Z report into accounting only after the source system has completed the daily close.
Open cash boxes and petty cash
Capture the externally prepared cash report, physical count, and related closing evidence as a daily aggregate instead of live individual transactions.
Bookkeeping and tax-advisory firms
Review cash sources, daily closings, differences, and posting previews per client before controlled posting.

Frequently asked questions
Can I record sales or cash payments in accuno?
Not as live individual transactions. Sales, payments, and receipts are completed in the external register system or outside accuno; accuno then transfers only the closed cash day for reconciliation and accounting.
Does accuno provide or control a TSE?
No. Accuno does not provide or control a TSE and replaces neither a register system nor its legal obligations.
How is a cash day transferred?
Create the cash source, transfer the externally closed daily totals, attach the original evidence, and then verify the cash equation and posting preview. The close is posted only after secured approval; supported structured files are read deterministically and without AI.
Which responsibilities remain with the customer?
The customer remains responsible for the external register system or open cash box, on-site capture, completeness of closing evidence, any required TSE, and other statutory cash-register obligations. This does not replace professional accounting, tax, or legal advice.
